It's a good thing...

... that I think bruises and scrapes are sexy. My legs are TORE UP today. About 10 times worse than hashing in El Paso. I am happy to report that my stupid legs aren't nearly as badly strained as they might have been. I should be back to functional quickly. I feel a ton better already. There's really something to taking care of your injuries! That whole ice & elevate thing is awesome.

Incline today

I set a new record for myself: the most spills on the way down from the Incline. I made it to the top in the best time I've had in a while, 46 minutes from the very bottom. However, the hike/run down was a bit crap-tastic. I slipped at the very top and slid five steps before stopping myself. Not that big of a deal, a couple of scratches is all. I decided that I'd hop over to Barr Trail at the half-way point to avoid any other major tumbles. Instead, I slipped in the snow/ice on Barr Trail twice and pulled my right quad. I think it's fairly minor, so I hope to be back to 100% in a few days. Guess we'll see. Back to icing the thigh! :)

Cowlick.

I know I'm a nerd, but this makes me happy.

Dancing tonight.

It's my first day back to dance at the Caspian since all of my costumes were stolen. I have finally replaced them with some beauties, but costume alteration takes a long time and I've only got one finished! At least I've got one thing finished. Of course, now I have to find time to put a couple of dance cd's together. I'm a bit nervous to go back, but I'm sure it'll feel like I've never been gone once the music starts.

Brrrr!

I love cold weather, but 13 degrees is still too damn cold to be out running! Short run today. It felt pretty good, but I'm glad to finally be warm again. I'm not used to staying cold for the whole duration of a run. What happened to that nice warm 25 degree weather? :)

My dinner rocked.

I made mushroom stroganoff with turmeric jasmine rice (yes, again). Plus I had sliced tomatoes and mozzarella cheese with basil. Mmmmm! Top it off with an awesome wine and you have a delicious dinner.

I love Barbara

That's the name of the workout of the day from Sunday, which I did today. It's five rounds of 20 pull-ups, 30 push-ups, 40 sit-ups, and 50 squats, with a rest time of exactly 3 minutes between rounds. Of course, my pull-ups & push-ups were modified, but I did fairly well. My round times were 5:18, 5:02, 4:48, 4:41, and 5:42 <--- can you tell when I wanted to be done? I'm feeling worked, but I love it.

Error Analysis is fun.

Not really, but since that's what I get to spend my afternoon working on I may as well pretend that it's super dooper! :)

CSYP

Colorado Springs Young Professionals group turned 5 last night. I haven't been down to one of those since I started dancing, so it was fun to go back and see how many people there I still know. I only got to go because I switched my dance Thursdays to the 1st and 3rd. Plus, last night I had to be at my crossfit gym at 5. So once I finished up there, I went down to South Side Johnny's and proceeded to drink like I was still at TexMex. Holy Crap! I'm beat, but I had a blast!

Fuck Yeah!

TEXMEX kicked ass. I can't believe I haven't gone before. I still maintain that I don't like Texas and it doesn't like me. I have the scratches and bruises to prove it. :) My favorite part was earning my Kimchi TexMex Wings, this is mostly just because it forced me to drink even more than I thought I could at one time. I really hope that people start posting photos, because I was never sober enough to remember to take out my camera. Ooops.
